Parts Accessories That Turn Your Ordinary Car Into A Rally Car

Rally cars are just ordinary cars taken to the next level with parts accessories so that it can be used for rally races.  You might even notice that the rally car you are rooting for is the exact same one that is parked in your garage.  In reality, these are in fact ordinary cars used daily.  The difference is the parts accessories used to transform this into a rally machine.

It is actually quite easy to build your own rally car.  If you want to use your rally car for races however, it needs to match the standards and requirements of the FIA, the association that sets regulations and rules for the World Rally Championship or WRC.

There are several specifications needed before your ordinary vehicle can actually be called a rally car.  First and foremost is the needed production run of a minimum of 2500 units.  This is a major requirement in rally cars.  The engine should also be not greater than 2.0 liters.  It should be a four-wheel drive and the sequential gearbox should have its aerodynamic mechanism and parts.  There are a lot to consider if you wish to turn your ordinary car into a rally machine.

A Ford Focus and Honda Civic are said to be good rally cars because of their smooth sharp curve round ups.  But whatever car you have, you want to start by lowering its suspension system for it to defy gravity.  It will also be easier to turn on sharp corners with ease with a lowered car.

Having high performance tires are also very essential to these rally races.  Road conditions are varied and there are difficult challenges up ahead.  Your tire should be able to withstand wear and tear of racing.  It should be able to perform based on high quality standards and enable you to traverse the race course fluidly.

Safety gears are also one non-negotiable standard set by the FIA.  Because of the driving conditions on these tracks, there is a lot of possibility for skidding and colliding with other cars.  You can also expect roadblocks in these races.  Hence, self-protection and protection for the car is necessary by installing a roll cage.  This puts you at ease when speeding and careening those difficult curves.

Lastly, it is best to elevate your car’s performance by installing the best computer controlled fuel systems available.  There is also a higher chance of winning when you have the best air intakes and performance exhaust gears.  With a high performance, high improved engine, winning is just a stone’s throw away.
